Structured Cabling Systems Design & Installation Training

Optical Fiber Cabling Design & Installation Training

managers with the latest in optical fiber industry standards, design guidelines, installation practices,
connector terminations, splicing, testing and troubleshooting.
Data Centre Design Training
3 days, Dubai
This course covers all the design and project management techniques required to reach the
high-level design stage of a data centre. Data centre design requires a broad spectrum of skills
that encompasses architectural and structural engineering requirements, electrical engineering,
heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) knowledge, fire detection, alarm and suppression
techniques, security, access control and CCTV requirements, information technology and
structured cabling standards. This course identifies all the elements that must be defined before
a data centre can be designed. You will go through an example design and sizing exercise.
BICSI RCDD Course (DD102 + DD200)
11 days, Dubai
The first part is a 6-day intensive design course that focuses on how to design a standards-based
structured cabling system. You will learn how to design cabling pathways and spaces, as well as
selecting the cabling media. You will also design telecommunications rooms, backbone and horizontal
distribution systems, equipment rooms, and entrance facilities. Firestopping, grounding, bonding,
and electrical protection are covered in addition to the various standards. Case studies and application
exercises using blueprints are used. The second part, conducted after 4-5 weeks is a 4-day review
course in preparation for the BICSI RCDD exam. Those who pass the exam will receive the prestigious
RCDD designation from BICSI.
